Siemens Healthineers has named Ghada Trotabas as its new Managing Director. Ghada will succeed Peter Harrison, who is retiring from the role.
Ghada has more than 20 years of experience in the medical technology industry, in imaging, laboratory diagnostics, and therapy.
At Siemens Healthineers, Ghada led the global radiation oncology and refurbished systems businesses and held senior positions in laboratory diagnostics and molecular imaging. For the past five years she has served as Executive Vice President of Marketing & Commercial Excellence with global responsibility to build advanced commercial capabilities and drive digital marketing and sales transformation. She has held senior roles in Europe and the US.
Focused on transforming healthcare
Ghada is focused on transforming healthcare to make it more precise, more local, more digital and more compassionate. Her extensive industry experience and familiarity with the challenges facing providers will help her to support the vision of the NHS as it moves to a new service model in which patients get more options, better support and integrated care at the right time and in the right setting.
“The pandemic has made it even more apparent that radical changes are needed in the provision of diagnostic services. This creates unique opportunities to develop new models of service delivery backed by action on workforce and technology. At Siemens Healthineers, we are working in close partnership with the NHS and all providers to enable these changes, and I truly believe that technology and innovation play a key role in making this happen,” explains Ghada.
