Continuing its purpose to pioneer breakthroughs in healthcare for everyone, Siemens Healthineers is a founding partner of Movement Health Foundation.
The foundation aims to work across sectors to help the world's health systems prepare for the future and adopt digital innovations needed to provide equal access to quality health care for all.
Exploring innovative patient-centric solutions
Siemens Healthineers is supporting the Foundation by exploring ways to apply innovative patient-centric solutions in areas such as AI-driven diagnostics.
“As leaders in the healthcare industry and co-founding partners of the Movement Health Foundation, we are all driven by the opportunity to make focused impact on underserved populations by combining the power of our unique capabilities and our commitment to building more sustainable healthcare systems around the world. We share the belief that health is a fundamental human right and that everyone should have the opportunity to benefit from the innovations in healthcare, for example improved diagnostics to catch diseases early," said Siemens Healthineers Senior Vice President of Global Access to Care & Movement Health Board Member, Tisha Boatman [pictured above, third from left].
Harnessing partners' expertise, skills and resources
The formation of the foundation was announced at the 76th World Health Assembly by Siemens Healthineers alongside Harvard University's Professor of Global Health Systems, Rifat Atun, the Copenhagen Institute for Futures Studies (CIFS), Microsoft, and Roche.
Working on the ground with governments, entrepreneurs, healthcare providers and patients, the Movement Health Foundation is harnessing the expertise, skills and resources of its founding partners to equip healthcare systems for the demands of the future and help them adopt the digital innovation needed to create the change that best serves the world's healthcare needs.
Creating long-term impact and fostering collaboration
Through a five-step approach of challenge identification, local networking, focused policy change work, incubation of solutions and pilots, and scaling, the Foundation aims to create long-term impact while fostering collaboration, best practice sharing, and entrepreneurship.
Movement Health Foundation is committed to being a catalyst for change and a leader of action on a mission to prepare and transform health systems, with the rights, expectations, and hopes of future generations front of mind.
