It is no secret that science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields are helping to propel the world into the future.
While women have been traditionally under-represented in STEM positions, Honeywell recognizes the value and passion that women bring to these professions.
For the past two years, Honeywell has been a member of Women in Science and Engineering (WISE), an organization committed to the success of women in STEM careers.
WISE has been working towards the goal of one million women in STEM in the UK for the past five years, and earlier this year, they achieved this feat. WISE is encouraging all women in STEM fields to participate in the #1ofTheMillion campaign.
Inspiring women to pursue STEM careers
The #1ofTheMillion digital campaign highlights the one million women in STEM fields in the UK and aims to inspire more women to pursue, return to, or retrain in STEM.
“We chose to partner with WISE because we know they make a real difference in improving the gender balance in STEM”, says Sharon Oliver, Honeywell HR Country Leader, Northern Europe. “To make real change happen, it’s important to stimulate interest in STEM at an early age.”
Honeywell is excited to support WISE and to celebrate women in STEM.
