For the third consecutive year, EcoVadis has awarded Colt Platinum status, the highest achievable rating. This sees Colt ranked Colt in the top 1% of global EcoVadis companies.

Making a meaningful difference

“Climate chaos is the biggest humanitarian threat that the world has ever faced. We’ve partnered with Arctic Arts to make a meaningful difference not just within our own company, but across the entire industry, and we’re leading that change," explains Keri. "The IT sector contributes as much carbon as the aviation industry. By 2040, we could be responsible for a very worrying 14% of global carbon contribution. It’s time to push further together."

"As businesses we must come together to reduce waste, use renewable energy, and ensure that we’re building products that are more efficient. But as individuals, we also have a responsibility. Each of us can do one more thing everyday to do something. that will make our planter healthier and greener. What’s your one more thing?” says Keri.

Striving to lead and do better

"We've now achieved our third year in Platinum status for EcoVadis. Although this makes us proud, we know there's still more to do, and all it goes is drive us to continue to strive to lead and to do better everyday. We want to inspire our peers and each one of you to do more, because we know that the change starts with us," explains Keri.

Inspiring action and being part of the solution

"We love that Arctic Arts don't just amplify the problem, they inspire action. Our partnership with Arctic Arts has ignited this passion for being part of the solution," acknowledges Keri.

"Within our Colties, it's motivating them to make small but meaningful changes in their everyday lives. We now have over 180 sustainability pledges from our Colties, and these range from saving electricity to buying less packaged foods. They also start looking at things that are very present in our world, which is using your phones less or in different ways. And these are all things that on a day-to-day basis, we can do as individuals in order to be a part of the solution. We all need to push further together, and we all need to just do one more thing. The change starts with us," continues Keri.

Sustainability by design

"As a large company with global operations, we want to lead by example. When working with partners, suppliers, customers, or even within our communities, we're always looking to reduce the impact on the environment. Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. At Colt, we believe in sustainability by design," attests Keri.

"Arctic Arts chose to work with us largely because our shared values. The telco industry is one of the largest consumers of energy in the world. We're responsible for 2% of carbon emissions globally, and this is only expected to increase, especially today with the adoption of and the developments that are happening in AI. It's our aim to have renewable energy across all our sites globally by 2030. Through this partnership with Urban Miners, we've been able to actually recover 99.4% of the minerals that were associated with the equipment. That actually equated to 19 tonnes of materials that we were able to regenerate within our community. Because of this, we've rolled this out beyond Sweden and are starting to look at this again as a best practice across our industry. We all need to come together.
