Inclusive employer Colt Technology Services aims to attract and develop the best and brightest from all walks of life, creating an environment where everyone can make their mark.

As part of this commitment, Colt supports initiatives that support employee mental health and wellbeing, such as its Mental Health First Aiders across the globe who have been trained to be the first response for colleagues who need a listening ear or signposting to further support.

Creating a supportive workplace culture

Colt highlighted some of its initiatives on World Mental Health Day, encouraging its community to use the day to pause, raise awareness, and remind themselves that mental health matters every day.

"We’re committed to creating a culture where every Coltie feels supported, seen and heard. From our Mental Health First Aiders trained to listen without judgment, to our 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme, tools, training and safe spaces, we’re here to make sure no one has to face challenges alone. Because when we take care of our people, we all thrive," said Colt.

Raising awareness of mental health issues

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the overall objective of World Mental Health Day is to raise awareness of mental health issues around the world and to mobilize efforts in support of mental health.

The day provides an opportunity for all stakeholders working on mental health issues to talk about their work, and what more needs to be done to make mental health care a reality for people worldwide.
