Entain consistently works to create a diverse, equitable and inclusive future for its people, the wider sports betting industry, and society. And, as part of this commitment to gender equality, International Women’s Day saw Entain's Rachael D'Silva take part in a thoughtful conversation celebrating the 2026 Give to Gain campaign theme.

Sharing advice for women in the industry

The event was hosted by Betting and Gaming Council CEO Grainne Hurst, who formerly worked as Group Director of Corporate Affairs for Entain.

Grainne sat down with Rachael to hear about her career journey through the sector - the challenges, the pivotal moments, and the people who supported her along the way - alongside valuable insights and advice for women starting out in the betting and gaming industry.

"Days like this matter. Our industry is evolving, and creating space to share experiences and champion talented women coming through is something I care deeply about. Give to Gain is a powerful reminder that when we invest time in supporting others, we all benefit. Thank you to everyone who joined us, and again to Rachael for helping make the discussion so engaging. Let’s keep the conversation going," said Grainne.

"Great conversation with a great woman and audience. Thanks Grainne Hurst and as you say, let’s keep it going," said Rachael.

Empowering the women of Entain globally

Rachael paves the way for others as Entain Senior Business Integration Manager and Chair of Women@Entain employee network.

Rachael stepped into her role as Chair of Women@Entain with incredible passion, driving initiatives such as: Entain's Women in Leadership apprenticeship programme; moderating a key panel in Vienna discussing new partnerships to support tech hiring; expanding lean in circles to bring females across the globe together to build their network, learn and grow; and organising a recognition network lunch in London with senior board members and colleagues.

Spearheading the company's rebrand

Grainne joined the Betting and Gaming Council from Entain, where she spent nearly a decade, including as Group Corporate Affairs Director.

During her career at Entain, Grainne led the company's engagement with government and the public sector, and successfully spearheaded the company rebrand from GVC to Entain. Grainne also served as a board member of the Entain Foundation and created and delivered Entain's multi-award-winning global safer gambling strategy, Changing for the Bettor.
