Colt Technology Services works with its wider eco-system to raise awareness of how bias can impact decision-making; rolling out inclusion training for people managers. To make the process of re-joining the world of work after a career break as smooth as possible, the company launched Returners@Colt for those seeking to re-enter the corporate world.
Returners@Colt is designed to introduce career-break professionals, seeking a return to the workplace, to Colt through a six-month placement, to help the company understand how it can access a valuable and under-utilised section of the workforce.
Development opportunities for women
Supporting career returners, Colt's women’s network, Network 25, has been key in providing networking and development opportunities for women in the business. The company has also been keen to support the next generation of young women and work in community outreach and partnering to support young girls to aim high and expect a fairer workplace.
Colt Technology Services focuses on embedding inclusion in everything it does, for example, rolling out policy improvements to promote new ways of working that support an inclusive environment.
The company's Best Brave Self and Embrace your Best programme, by the women of Colt for the women at Colt, aims to create a community of women across the business supporting each other whilst participating in an engaging personal development programme. The company continues working with its external and internal networks and collaborating across its business to ensure it finds ways to progress women and retain great talent.
