Meet Honeywell Aerospace Systems Engineer, Christina Chai.
Christina's world got a whole lot bigger when she moved to Phoenix to join Honeywell, but she navigated this change with grace thanks to an old love - tennis.
Pushing out of a comfort zone
"I've been at Honeywell for almost a year. I just love the work that I do, I think I've been very lucky, and I'm super grateful that I actually do look forward coming into work every day. I love my team and the people I work with. I was a little bit nervous coming into such a big company because I grew up going to small schools and went to a small college," shares Christina.
"Coming to Honeywell I think was pushing myself out of my comfort zone, but I think that's also one of the biggest strengths about coming here and working here is that there are so many opportunities, and you know everybody kind of works together in this collaborative way to you know get something done."
Outside work Christina's main hobby and love is tennis. "I started playing tennis when I was super young and then now that I'm in Arizona it's been a great way to meet people, a great way to stay active, and take my mind off things. It's also a good stress reliever," Christina explains.
Looking for new ways to innovate
"Being a future shaper at Honeywell I think is one of the things that caught my eye when I was interviewing at this company," says Christina.
"To me, I think a future shaper means always looking towards the future and looking for new ways to innovate and just trying to make the future a better place. I think it also means adapting to change and whatever challenges come at you and not being afraid to dive head first into those challenges."
