Meet Colt Technical Lead, Shristi Sharma

Meet Shristi Sharma who works as a Technical Lead.

And with over a decade’s experience in tech and telecoms, Colt can count on Shristi to know what a good company looks like.

When she first joined Colt, her previous experience was predominantly technical. But Colt carved out time for Shristi to learn new skills, set goals, and develop her knowledge.

Shortly after joining, Shristi was put on a big project where she was able to make her mark. And a big plus for Shristi, is that at Colt, they’re flexible first.

Unlike a lot of other companies who, in a post-covid climate, are gradually reducing their flexible working allowances. It allows for her to progress, feel comfortable in her role and the wider company, and plan for her family and the future. Another benefit of flexible working is it allows for Shristi to prioritise her physical and mental health. The 3-hour round trip journey she would take on her commute, is now replaced with yoga, learning new things or cooking.

Meet Colt Order Manager, Stephanie Benites

Meet Stephanie Benites who joined Colt us as a receptionist, but after two years progressed to her current role as Order Manager, which she has been working in for almost a decade.

Key to her role is excellent customer-service, she is a self-professed ‘babysitter of the order’, overseeing and guiding multiple teams, from start to finish. She is solution focused and organised, which works well for a fast-paced role.

When Stephanie first joined, she had no knowledge of tech, but the formal skills development on offer helped her learn on the job, with the support of her colleagues. And she continues to grow and make her mark.

Stephanie was fundamental in building a team in Romania from scratch, acting as tech lead. She trained the new members, and shared her skills, values and vision. Pushing herself out of her comfort zone to achieve her goals is something that Stephanie finds empowering.

Meet Colt Team Leader at GCA Global Languages Services, Somya Arya

Meet Somya Arya who is a Team Leader at GCA Global Languages Services.

She began working with Colt as an engineer, moved to a different company, and then gladly returned back to Colt as a Senior Engineer. Her reason for coming back? Colt's great company culture.

For Somya, the customer-centric approach and policies at Colt are much more flexible than other companies, with the opportunity to work from home as a key indicator of the trust Colt give its employees.

Hierarchy is not a barrier, with the opportunity for all Colties to develop, and achieve their goals.

Colt spotted Somya’s leadership potential and sponsored her to take part in leadership training. The training provided her with valuable, transferrable skills and the opportunity to make her mark in the company.

Following this training, Somya became a Team Leader and an expert in automation. In this role, she can make decisions that benefit her team and foster their growth, which Somya finds particularly empowering and rewarding. Another key part of the culture for Somya is the female community.

There are many women in Colt that continuously inspire Somya- for their commitment, communication, dedication and confidence. Their influence has enabled Somya to see her own potential. Continuous allyship and mentoring is Somya’s key to success. She believes that anyone at any level of seniority can benefit from advice and knowledge sharing.

Meet Colt's Voice Network & Systems Architect, Sandra Santoro

Meet Sandra Santoro who has been a 'Coltie' for 15 years, working as a Voice Network and Systems Architect.

For Sandra, it’s the support of her line manager and the work of her colleagues, which inspire her and make her proud to be part of the team. She made her mark working closely with customers to create a cutting-edge solution by creating a remarkable relationship with that customer.

And Sandra continues to develop her skills with us, through access to learning portals, non-stop training opportunities and through talks given by in-house experts. She summarises ‘work-life balance’ as flexibility and common-sense. And that’s what they offer at Colt.

Sandra finds it allows her to bring her best self to work and gives her the space and time to be there for her family and unmissable moments, like reading with her daughter. Sandra’s friends are often surprised at how much support she has been given to progress at work, while raising her children.
