WTW marks the start of Pride Month with a new Pride logo that represents the rainbow and Pride flags of the past, present and future. The logo also acknowledges and includes all identities and orientations.
Promoting respect and tolerance
WTW is committed to create a workplace where employees can be truly themselves without fear of judgment. The company's Inclusion & Diversity Network provides an important program for promoting respect and tolerance via many activities such as conferences, articles, videos, prides participation, and workshop.
Indeed, being able to bring one's whole self to work is not only important for wellbeing, but it also has a real impact on WTW's performance. Sometimes, LGBT+ colleagues can find it difficult to always be themselves at work. WTW wants to ensure to provide an environment where everyone feels comfortable and welcome, and where they can truly be themselves to give their best. Having a diverse team and diverse leaders dramatically increases innovation and success.
While working at WTW, the LGBT+ community is supported and defended by the management. It’s part of the WTW culture as the company does not accept any act of homophobia and would react immediately in any such case.
Supporting LGBT+ colleagues via network
WTW's LGBT+ network promotes a supportive, respectful and inclusive working environment for colleagues across the diverse spectrum of sexual orientation and gender identity. They seek to engage LGBT+ colleagues, strengthen their affiliation with the company and facilitate the development of relationships with LGBT+ members of the communities in which they work and live.
"The aim of the LGBT+ network is to engage LGBT+ colleagues, strengthen their affiliation with the company and facilitate the development of relationships with LGBT+ members of the communities in which we work and live," says Suzanne McAndrew, Global Head of Employee Experience and Global LGBT+ Network Leader at WTW.
WTW's inclusion networks are designed to engage its talent and better connect them to each other, clients and the communities in which they work and live. These networks are at the heart of how they engage and inspire colleagues on the ground and actively work to support WTW's goal of recruiting, retaining and developing underrepresented talent. Each of its inclusion networks has two executive sponsors – either at a global and/or local level – who use their influence to advocate for and advance the mission of the network.
