Each year, Willis Towers Watson colleagues are proud to “go purple” for Spirit Day to support LGBT+ youth. In a public stand against bullying, colleagues at the company
wear purple clothes to show solidarity and accelerate acceptance.
LGBT+ youth disproportionally face bullying and harassment because of their identities.
Annual LGBTQ awareness day
Spirit Day is an annual LGBTQ awareness day observed on the third Thursday in October.
Promoted by GLAAD, observers wear the color purple as a visible sign of support for LGBTQ youth and against bullying during the USA's National Bullying Prevention Month.
LGBTQ victims of suicide are also remembered and honored.
