Lucy is taking on a strategic role in developing Building Equality’s strategy and direction, facilitators, and ultimate objectives.

Lucy is a Sustainability Manager at AECOM with a demonstrated history of working in engineering and construction, legal and retail.
Skilled in sustainability and safeguarding, particularly diversity and inclusion, emissions management and corporate social responsibility, Lucy specializes in project managing AECOM’s response to the climate emergency and leads on initiatives to reduce AECOM’s operational emissions.
Leading LGBTQ+ initiatives for AECOM
Previously named a Top 10 Inspirational Leader by British LGBT Awards, Lucy is part of AECOM’s LGBTQ+ network and has led a number of initiatives for the company. These include AECOM’s participation at virtual Pride events, online yoga sessions for the LGBTQ+ community during Mental Health Awareness Week and co-ordinating donations for LGBTQ+ youth charity The Proud Trust.

Building Equality is an alliance of construction consultants, engineers, developers, contractors, and institutions who are passionate about working together and harnessing collective power to drive LGBTQ+ inclusion in the construction, engineering and built environment industry.
The organisation has a presence across the UK, with 60+ organizations from the industry regularly participating in joint initiatives to support LGBTQ+ inclusion.
