A mother of three and a Lieutenant Commander in the United States Coast Guard Reserve, Honeywell Director of Government Relations Kate Conway came to Honeywell to follow her passion for driving new sustainable solutions to shape the future.
Being a part of the solution
“I've been with Honeywell one year in my position. I think Honeywell was a natural fit for me after a few field seminars abroad,” explains Kate. “I went to Asia and South America and really recognized the way the industrialized world is changing, and it's changing really rapidly, and I wanted to be part of that solution. I wanted to really drive new sustainable solutions and really shape the future.”
When not working at Honeywell, Kate has the privilege of serving in the United States Coast Guard as a Lieutenant Commander in the reserves.
“It's a really special honor for me, not only did both of my parents serve in the Army I had two grandparents serve during World War II,” explains Kate.
“I have three sisters that serve but most specifically my grandmother served in the United States Coast Guard as one of the first females in the service during World War II.”
Bringing new engineering solutions to market
“To me being a Futureshaper means putting the right people in the right room with the right information to really bring these cutting-edge Innovations and new engineering solutions to market,” comments Kate.
Outside of work, Kate enjoys spending time with her three children. “We live in Phoenix, Arizona, our home state, and we love to hike and explore the outdoors. I'm also a big golf enthusiast and I have been golfing with my Dad for about 20 years now,” shares Kate.
