AECOM's Graduate Programme UK & Ireland (Water)
AECOM's water graduates design, conceptualise, advise and adapt, on flood risk management, hydraulic modelling, sustainable drainage systems and water sensitive urban design, mains infrastructure, wastewater, water resources, and much more.
At the Stillorgan Reservoir in Ireland, AECOM graduates have assisted in providing Dublin with a much safer and secure water supply.
Graduates have worked with the North Glasgow Integrated Water Management System (NGIWMS) in Scotland, 'Glasgow's Smart Canal', helping to create a pioneering drainage system, incorporating the historic Forth and Clyde Canal to provide one of the first autonomous and dynamically managed surface water systems in the world.
Furthermore, at Deephams Wastewater Treatment works in London, graduates have had an involvement with optimising the upgrade of one of London's largest wastewater treatment works, delivering water quality and odour improvements to keep rivers clean and safe.
AECOM graduates have worked with the Thames Tideway Tunnel in inner London helping to dramatically reduce river pollution, meaning cleaner water and better protection for marine wildlife.
Graduates have also assisted with the PSA Panama International Terminal expansion, doubling the capacity to cater for increased trade along the expanded Panama Canal.
With the York Flood Alleviation Scheme, graduates have supported the Environment Agency to identify holistic solutions for the management of flooding in the UK's York area, comprising hard and soft solutions to adapt to climate change.
