Capgemini is named in Sustainability Magazine's impressive Top 100 Companies 2023 list.
The list selects the top global companies championing sustainable change.
Creating long-lasting positive impact
"Businesses are more focused than ever to showcase their commitments to improving their sustainability credentials, and 2023 alone has seen an influx of reporting standards, clean energy goals and transparency among businesses, to name a few," says Sustainability Magazine. "Yet, there are many companies that have gone above and beyond to emerge as sustainable pioneers, and the firms in this list represent those that have made remarkable progress in creating long-lasting positive impacts."
Capgemini has been committed to managing its resources effectively and cutting its carbon emissions for many years, and was one of the first companies in its sector to have its carbon reduction targets validated by the Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
"We have a strengthened ambition to achieve a 90 per cent reduction in all carbon emissions across scopes 1,2 and 3 and become a net zero business by 2040," says Capgemini. "Our new targets have been validated as being in line with the Science Based Target initiative’s (SBTi ) new Corporate Net-Zero Standard. This standard is the world’s first framework for corporate net zero target setting and is in line with the level of reduction needed to limit global warming to 1.5°C."
