Meet Honeywell Senior Advanced Application Engineer, Danielle Sinte.
Danielle is one of Honeywell's Futureshapers engineering emissions management solutions that help organizations get a real-time measure of their greenhouse gas emissions and reduce their carbon footprint.
"The end-to-end emission management solution consists of a suite of product, technology and services to measure, monitor, report and reduce emissions to meet the carbon neutrality goal," says Danielle.
"The great thing about this product is that it allows customers to easily benchmark the emission and take corrective action accordingly. To me, being a Futureshaper means helping people shape the world into a better place through innovation and breakthrough technology."
Reducing the carbon footprint
"Many organizations are prioritizing sustainability, as our Environmental Sustainability Index highlights. Companies with industrial operations are looking for ways to continuously monitor for gas leaks and identify opportunities to reduce emissions," shares Danielle. "That's where emissions management technologies can be beneficial."
Pursuing a career in STEM
Offering her advice to someone earlier in their career who wants to pursue a similar path in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM), Danielle says: "Learn as much as you can and get a lot of hands-on experience. Embrace failure and constructive feedback and use it as a catalyst for growth and improvement."
Helping shape the world into a better place
Danielle discusses what being a Futureshaper means to her. "It means helping people shape the world into a better place through innovation and breakthrough technology. When I think about being a Futureshaper, I always think about my daughter because I want to leave a better world for her and transfer that legacy to her."
Dedicated to forging a sustainable future
In her spare time, Danielle runs a decorating business.
"The people I work with are great people. I like their enthusiasm and their dedication to a more sustainable future," she says.
"Sustainability starts with a personal commitment. Honeywell used to use disposable cups, now it uses glass for coffee and for water, and I try to do the same thing with my decorating business. I use biodegradable balloons and I will pick glass over plastic material, and in general, anything I can recycle and reuse for my next event."
