A DHL Supply Chain HM Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS) contract sees the company managing the picking, packing and distribution of basic goods to inmates within prisons.

Vast role as a team leader
Kelly has worked with DHL for almost five years, and started as a team leader.
"The role of the team leader is quite a vast one to be honest, because you could do anything from being on the shop floor in amongst it, to in the tilling room where you till in the orders on a daily basis," explains Kelly.
Helping others as a Rehab Coordinator
Part of Kelly's role with DHL Supply Chain is to educate those in the workshops and outside the workshops in the knowledge of rehabilitation and the things that are offered in and out of the prison.
"For me, it's about knowing that you've helped someone. You come to work wanting and knowing that you're potentially going to change the way somebody's viewed their life for however many years they've come out, and they've learnt a completely different skill set than when they walked in with," she explains. "To be part of that, you feel like you've done a really good job."
A variety of career progression routes available
Kelly shares that one of the qualities which is important to do the job of Rehab Coordinator is respect.
"Know that you have to have patience, fairness and to just be kind," says Kelly.
She suggests that with DHL there are many career progression routes available.
"Working for DHL is great. The progression routes are unlimited as long as you put in the hard work," she concludes.
