Capgemini's global employee network groups (ENG) are key to the company's commitment to building an inclusive work environment and providing its colleagues from diverse backgrounds with a sense of community and belonging.

"They offer all of us a platform to connect, promote awareness, and share experiences with each other at a global and local level, covering a variety of topics, interests, and identities based on local needs," says the company.

There are four global ENGs – Women@Capgemini, OUTfront, CapAbility, and CulturALL – and several local networks for armed forces, parenting and sustainability, among others. Cultivating their commonalities, so far, around 45,000 Capgemini colleagues across countries and business units have actively participated and continue to lead by example.

Shaping an inclusive workplace

Capgemini consistently works to build an inclusive environment where everyone feels able to be their whole self. The company's employee networks are at the heart of this journey. Open to all, they provide a friendly space to share experiences, promote awareness and empower each other.

The company's employee networks offer all of Capgemini's colleagues a platform to connect, promote awareness, and share experiences with each other at a global and local level, covering a variety of topics, interests, and identities based on local needs.

The employee networks provide a place for Capgemini's team to come together and share experiences. They help shape what it’s like to work at Capgemini, ensuring the company offers an environment where everyone feels welcome, respected and able to succeed. This includes offering feedback on corporate policies and practices. All team members can join any network, to access assistance or to show their support for others.

Creating a sense of belonging

Leaders of Capgemini's employee networks have shared how they can engage, empower, and inspire their peers and colleagues through the networks, shaping inclusive futures for everyone. They say the networks help create a sense of belonging and empower colleagues to be their authentic selves. They also provide a great way to connect, network and meet new people, and inspire colleagues with new ideas.

"Employee Networks allow me to enhance my cultural intelligence," commented a Capgemini colleague.

"They've helped me walk in other people's shoes," added a further colleague.

Capgemini's employee networks provide a different sort of conversation, as well as helping colleagues to unlock unknown skill sets within themselves. The networks are a key method for Capgemini to get feedback from its workforce, to help inform the company's plans and policies to create an inclusive future that everyone wants. Together, Capgemini's colleagues engage, inspire and empower each other to shape inclusive futures for all.

"I've had various opportunities to learn about different topics that I haven't really been exposed to," shared a colleague.

"Joining an employee network will give you a sense of community," a Capgemini colleague commented.

"They gave me the skills to become my best," said a further colleague.
