AECOM is committed to empowering everyone in its industry to thrive by making every employee feel valued and included.
Driving this commitment, AECOM creates an inclusive workplace through employee networks.
Employee networks foster a sense of belonging and lead community outreach, while providing strategic mentorships to promote ongoing dialogue and heightened awareness. These groups ensure diverse perspectives are represented and heard to impact policies and business outcomes. They also help employees network and grow their careers.
Led by AECOM employees
Dedicated and passionate AECOM employees help lead these networks, like Graduate Civil Engineer Sean Kenly Montilla.
Based in Edinburgh, Scotland, Sean is the Communications Officer for AECOM's Ethnic & Diversity Network (EDN).
Thriving in a diverse community
Sean graduated with an MEng in Civil Engineering, and is currently involved in both clean and wastewater infrastructure designs.
"The EDN community is lovely, and I love being part of a community that is diverse and well-represented. I also want to encourage people to create a positive change in their place of work and celebrate the different cultures we are surrounded with," explains Sean.
"During my term, I hope to raise more awareness of the EDN goals and the wide range of events and resources that we offer to help everyone develop personally and also grow in their careers," adds Sean.
Forge inclusion in an AECOM career
Committed to advancing equity, diversity and inclusion within its organization and its industry, AECOM is cultivating a work environment that is safe and respectful. An environment where everyone is empowered to bring their unique talents, backgrounds and expertise to bear on some of the world’s most complex challenges.
