Capgemini aims to make the digital revolution an opportunity for all, and supporting the SOS Children's Villages in its InnovEd initiative is a step towards achieving that goal.
Learn more about Capgemini's role in helping provide educational support to children and their families in Morocco who were impacted by the earthquake in 2023, and how the company is shaping positive and inclusive futures for all.
Providing long-term educational support
InnovEd is driving innovation in education during emergencies and provides long-term educational support to impacted families. As part of the project, Capgemini inaugurated the first digital caravan in Morocco in April 2024. It offers educational, digital remediation, arithmetic and more such skills to 3,000 children and their families (1,000 parent beneficiaries) in Morocco, continuing Capgemini's support to those affected by the devastating earthquake in September 2023.
The mobile caravan travels through Morocco to help children in need, including out-of-school children, primary school children with learning difficulties or at a risk of dropping out, those at risk of abuse, amongst others. Two of the company's colleagues from Capgemini Morocco have mentored the educators who run the sessions.
Enabling digital equity for vulnerable communities
Leveraging Capgemini's technology expertise for the caravan, the company has created a rich and interactive learning experience with advanced digital equipment. The digital caravan also runs on sustainable energy.
"Together, let's bridge the digital gap and enable digital equity for vulnerable communities, shaping positive futures for our people, planet, and society," commented Capgemini.
