Alexis Rivera leads Honeywell's Neurodiversity Internship Program

Meet one of these Futureshapers, Honeywell Senior HR Manager Alexis Rivera, who discusses what Disability Pride Month has meant to her, and how being a part of Honeywell's All Abilities Network has helped her attract talent and foster a supportive environment.

Connecting impressive talent with leaders

Alexis explains that as a part of Honeywell's All Abilities Network, she leads the company's Neurodiversity Internship Program.

"It has been an amazing experience because I've been able to connect fantastic talent that maybe wouldn't have considered Honeywell at first as an employer of choice, that now they're here and they're thriving, and they're doing amazing," says Alexis. "I get to really match that talent up with leaders that also have similar goals and experiences, which is really exciting."

Spreading awareness of neurodiversity

Alexis shares that Disability Pride Month is particularly important for Honeywell's All Abilities Network.

"I think especially in the neurodiversity space, there's a lot of hidden disabilities that people might not be aware of. So it really gives a platform during that time frame to spread awareness, to give resources and to connect with people that otherwise did not know that we had this amazing resource group at their fingertips," explains Alexis.
