Honeywell interns are diving into automation, the future of aviation, and energy transition.

Get to know more about what some of them have been up to, from their favorite projects to how they're getting inspired to shape the future. They offer their visions for the future on everything from their careers to the complex challenges they're energized to help solve.

Pursuing a career focused on innovation

Sydney Brown, a software engineering intern, is building user interface components for a web application tool.

"Being able to use my creativity and coding skills is paying off!" says Sydney. 

"As a woman in software engineering, automation, the future of aviation and energy transition are pivotal trends shaping my career. Automation in software development accelerates innovation, while advancements in aviation technology drive demand for robust software solutions. The energy transition fosters opportunities in sustainable software solutions and green technologies, influencing how I contribute to shaping the digital future. Interacting with professionals in the field during my internship has inspired me to pursue a career focused on innovation, problem-solving and continuous learning within the realm of technology."

Learning about engineering and AI 

Further women interns at Honeywell have also discussed how their internships are helping develop their skills, expand their experiences, and shape their careers.

"My internship has shown me that there are many more fields of engineering that relate to aerospace than I was aware of before. I am using this experience to decide what sort of specialty I want to go into as a professional post-graduation," said another intern.

"This internship changed my perspective to learning artifical intelligence and machine learning. It expanded my level of thinking and mode of working. It has brought me great connections with experienced people in my field," commented another intern.

Harrison Chung, a systems engineering intern, is getting hands-on experience with aviation solutions designed to improve flight safety and efficiency.

Business development intern Kathryn Schira is analyzing global carbon markets to help her team determine the direction of possible future energy projects.
