Looking to forge a rewarding career with the WTW Lisbon Regional Delivery Hub?

WTW looks for experienced professionals who can see the bigger picture and create collaborative solutions.

Here, WTW Service Leaders, Retirement, Inês Barros and Joana Cereja discuss their experience when returning to work with WTW after having a break away.

Inês embraced further growth opportunities, while Joana found some great support and familiarity post her maternity leave.

Opportunities to grow in a WTW career

Inês explains that one thing she tries not to do very often is to wonder 'what if?'

As such, she wanted to try something new in her field of study, something related to healthcare.

"It felt like it was the right time. I think I was still in my twenties, and so I thought it's now or never. So, I went and spent two years away, and at some point I just decided that it wasn't going as I wanted it to."

Her WTW colleague, Joana, reached out to find out if Inês was interested in coming back to WTW. Inês was certainly interested, and pleased, and soon returned to WTW.

"Over the years I've been here, the company gives a lot of support and training for people who want to join. You're given the opportunity to grow here, but without necessarily failing, so you get the opportunities to try things and to potentially step out of your comfort zone. And even if it doesn't go well, you're still protected," explains Inês. "All the support is given to you, so that you're successful."

Returning to WTW post maternity leave

For Joana, she was returning to work with WTW after maternity leave.

She knew that she would be coming back to the team she knew and had worked with for nine years previously.

"That was the main motivation, knowing that I would feel comfortable within the company and the team, and would still continue to grow and have different challenges," shares Joana, explaining one of her main interests in returning to WTW post her maternity leave.

"It was not a difficult decision to come back," attests Joana.
