DHL Global Forwarding's interns continue to showcase their amazing talent and skills as they embark on a successful DHL career.

DHL Global Forwarding interns attended the company's First Choice training that reinforces DHL's approach to service excellence and continuous improvement.

The training provided interns with a flavor of what First Choice is all about, and how they can contribute to it.

Wide range of locally-run internship opportunities

The scale and scope of DHL's business means it can offer students, fresh graduates or anyone who is looking for their first entry level job, all the support and opportunity they could ever wish for, together with a level of stability and security few other organizations can match.

DHL offers a wide range of locally-run internship opportunities across its sites worldwide. Each of these internships offers fantastic insight into DHL's business and a chance to gain real-world experience that students need to complement their studies. For many, these local internships have proved to be the perfect stepping stone to a career with DHL.

A great International Internship Program

DHL's International Internship Program, UPGRADE, is in cooperation with DHL's partner AIESEC. The program offers talented students and young professionals the chance to spend six to 18 months with DHL, experiencing the company's culture, developing professional skills, and gaining an amazing insight into life and work with a global organization.

Interns get to work on live projects, interact directly with clients, network, and build relationships with colleagues across the business. From IT to HR and from Marketing to Data science, the opportunities available through the UPGRADE Program are as varied as they are geographically widespread. Around the world, DHL welcomes around 100 new young talents to the business every year.

Whichever path interns choose and wherever in the world they join DHL, one of the first things DHL does is assign each intern their very own mentor, a DHL Group colleague to support and offer advice and guidance throughout the interns time on the program.

The UPGRADE Program also includes customized workshops and digital learning plans, designed to develop the skills that are most in-demand across DHL's business, and help interns prepare for the next step, or a first step, in their DHL career.
