"Menopause is a phase of life that millions of women experience," suggests Theramex. "Yet, it remains a topic surrounded by stigma and misinformation."
Marking World Menopause Day, Theramex said: "We are standing together with women to break the silence and raise awareness on the symptoms, challenges, and solutions available."
Informing and empowering women
"79% of women (National survey of women's health conducted by Roularta Media Group and Libelle, 2023) don’t initially identify menopause as the cause of their symptoms, but they're not alone. Together, we can create a world where every woman feels informed, supported, and empowered through this journey," shared Theramex.
Supporting women through the changes of the menopause
The menopause can be a time of anxiety and distress as women experience symptoms that can be difficult to manage, including hot flushes, anxiety and sleep disturbances.
Menopause literally means stopping periods. ‘Meno’ refers to menstruation and ‘pause’ means to stop. The medical definition of menopause is when one year has passed since your last period. During the menopause, periods decline and then stop. It typically starts between the ages of 45-55 and the transition can last for several years.
