AECOM has won three awards at the UK Ground Engineering Awards, including Consultancy of the Year.
The awards celebrate the achievements of projects, people, and businesses across geotechnical engineering.

At the UK Ground Engineering Awards, AECOM won in the following categories:
- Consulting Firm of the Year:
Celebrating the consulting firm that has continually delivered innovation, quality and value
- UK Project with a Geotechnical Value of between £1M and £3M:
Celebrating AECOM's A9 Berriedale Braes improvement project for its credentials in innovation, sustainability, health and safety and value engineering
- Health and Safety Award:
Awarded to an initiative, process or innovation that has clearly contributed to improving health and safety
There are many talented women working in Ground Engineering at AECOM
Many women at AECOM are enjoying a successful career in Ground Engineering like Riya Patel [pictured above], a Graduate Geotechnical Engineer who has benefited from the company's ADVANCE early careers development programme,and helps advance inclusion commitments through participation in AECOM's Ethnic Diversity Network.
Sophie Hoggard is a further woman working in Ground Engineering at AECOM. She is a Senior Engineering Geologist who has worked on rewarding projects such as the Lower Thames Crossing where she was involved in all aspects of managing the ground investigation. Sophie discovered how much she enjoys working with people and has used their feedback to improve AECOM's systems, enhancing efficiency and job satisfaction.
Additionally Lynn Masterson is a Regional Director for Ground, Energy & Transaction Solutions and she believes that AECOM has one of the strongest and most technically capable ground engineering practices led by talented individuals who are passionate about and dedicated to training and developing people.
