Capgemini employees Chelsie Oakley and Tom Nicklin were invited to attend and speak at the University of Wolverhampton’s Inclusive Careers Conference to discuss Diversity & Inclusion within Capgemini.
Capgemini joined further leading companies such as Nationwide Building Society, Stonewall, and Civil Service on a Q&A panel, where they discussed innovative practices of Equality & Diversity in recruitment and employment.
Helping students learn more about career opportunities
Capgemini spoke about how in an ever-increasing diverse workplace, companies need to help its employees feel empowered and create a safe, judgement-free work environment to get the best out of them.
The University of Wolverhampton's Inclusive Careers Conference aimed to equip and empower students, graduates, postgraduates and would-be doctorates from diverse groups with knowledge of what employers are looking for in terms of employability and the range of prospects available to them within the graduate labour market.
The conference also sought to facilitate learning from inspirational speakers who are experts in their field. This also enabled the University to develop a network of contacts for employability while helping local, national and international employers, as well as equality & diversity support agencies, to engage with students through workshops and Q&As.
