Marking National Women in Aerospace Day, Honeywell featured some of its talented women working in aerospace.
"The sky is the limit for women in aerospace," says Honeywell supporting the day.
Honeywell women are proud of their work in aerospace
"When we go on plane rides with my children, we always check out the cockpit. It definitely makes me proud to be able to say 'I work on that'," said one Honeywell woman.
Senior Director for Enterprise Information Management at Honeywell, Neelakshi Mohta, says: "Honeywell has established itself as an industry leader, whether its defense, commercial, space. Everyday we are striving to do better for our customers and shareholders."
Honeywell, Quality Inspector, Christina Reed Cardenas, says: "I give myself a goal, and then when I think I'm going to get to that goal, I raise it higher."
Ana Alvarez, Director CX Program Management at Honeywell says: "I know how to take care of multiple requests at the same time and prioritize, but also plan my day and week, and plan around my goals...No matter who we are, where we're from, we can all achieve great things, and we can all have the same goals, the same dreams, the same career growth opportunities."

Senior Systems Engineer Laura Main says: "I've worked at Honeywell for 20 years, and it's really important for me as a woman engineer to have a support system. There's a group at Honeywell of women, we all get together, they have that support for women."
Encouraging a career in aerospace
National Women in Aerospace Day is observed in the USA on May 20. The day aims to encourage more women to pursue a career in aero engineering and aerospace by inspiring them with the history of the roles led by women in the aerospace community. Theb day also celebrates the women who have, and still are, contributing to the aerospace industry, in areas including commercial aviation, space, defense and helicopters. Additionally, National Women in Aerospace Day aims to help women explore the scope of the field of aviation and achieve the best of their potential.
National Women in Aerospace Day was created by Nikki Malcom in August 2021. Nikki was the Pacific Northwest Aerospace Alliance Chief Executive Officer & Executive Director, and the 32nd recipient of the AeroTime Aviation Achievement Award in 2022.
