Honeywell's culture is inclusive, and is built on respect, collaboration, and diverse perspectives.

Meet Honeywell Human Resources Business Partner and Futureshaper, Annie Ly.

Here, Annie shares her perspective on how being a part of Honeywell's Asian Employee Network inspires her and provides an important support system, and discusses how Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month is celebrated by the community.

Colleagues creating a support system for each other

Through Honeywell's employee networks, the company fosters collaboration and belonging, enabling everyone to share and learn from one another and fully contribute at work and in the community in an inclusive and supportive environment.

Annie explains that she can be herself in the workplace, because she is part of a bigger community that has common values and common goals, and for Annie, this is highly motivating.

"When we come together, we create a support system for each other, and this is where we can take more action that's more impactful," says Annie.

Celebrating identities throughout AAPI Heritage Month

Honeywell actively recruits, develops and retains talent from diverse backgrounds and cultures who bring different experiences, perspectives, abilities and ideas. The company fosters an inclusive environment in which all employees feel valued, respected and accepted.

AAPI Heritage Month is marked through various activities centered around forging culture and knowledge.

"There is the cultural and historical perspective, in which Asians share their culture with other individuals and within themselves. But then the second part of celebrating the Asian Pacific Heritage Month is to celebrate their identities," explains Annie. "The Asian Pacific Heritage Month usually includes activities that are built around culture and knowledge ... and celebrating identities is key," says Annie.
