There’s never been a better time to be a woman in automotive.

Within Capgemini, in its relationships with clients, and through industry events and associations, Capgemini is proud to promote the growing role of women in the industry and celebrate their contribution to its clients’ successes and to the evolution of mobility experiences.

As part of this commitment, Capgemini sponsored the Women Automotive Summit Europe: 2024 in Stuttgart, Germany - an internationally recognized event that took place in one of the major centers of expertise in the global automotive and mobility community.

Discussing sustainable mobility 

An experienced sustainability leader, Capgemini Head of Automotive & EVP Laurence Noël spoke at the event in the Rewrite the future of sustainable mobility session alongside Bosch Group Lead for Circular Strategies & Services Mara Schmidt.

Laurence discussed how the wave of megatrends dominating the industry has created a wealth of opportunities for women to shape the future of mobility and shared the many ways women can forge satisfying careers in the industry while driving a future of sustainable mobility.

Laurence is a distinguished professional with a robust background in the automotive industry. Laurence has more than 25 years of experience, and was previously Senior Vice President of the Circular Economy Business Unit at Stellantis. Leveraging a diverse background across management of business units, strategic planning and engineering, Laurence empowers clients to shape profitable and successful strategies, achieve transformation, and meet automotive sustainability goals.

Fostering industry inclusion 

The Women Automotive Summit Europe: 2024 was dedicated to fostering diversity and inclusion within the automotive industry. The event featured expert-led panels and discussions on the latest industry trends, including the role of diversity in driving innovation and the impact of emerging technologies on the automotive sector. 

Participants had the opportunity to engage with industry leaders, gain insights into career advancement, and network with peers and mentors committed to fostering an inclusive workplace.

This summit was part of a broader global initiative by the Women Automotive Network, which also hosts similar events in the United States and Mexico, aimed at promoting diversity.
