I Wish (Inspiring Women in STEM) is a very successful partnership initiative encouraging young women to pursue careers in STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths). Arup continues its support of I Wish.
The highly successful I Wish conference and exhibition is expanding nationally to engage with more than 4,000 secondary school girls.
More women needed in STEM
Speaking at the launch of I Wish 2017, Arup's Liam Luddy said “At Arup, it's really important to us to encourage the future generation to pursue careers in STEM. Engineering remains a typically male-dominated industry and we are very happy to support this initiative to make more females aware of the possibilities available to them by working in STEM.”
Inspiring female students
I Wish is an exciting and important initiative, one which Arup staff have thoroughly enjoyed being involved in over past years. Arup is looking forward to supporting I Wish via its insightful talks, demonstrations and interactive hubs that will enable Arup's people to engage and inspire female secondary school students.
